My KC-97 don't have the humps on the top and the things on the wings (not the engines) that look like jet engines in the kit are fuel tanks. What are they and how do I make them???  :dum:

Captain Canada

Humps can be made out of just about anything.....think outside the 'box'. There must be something laying about that you can glue on and putty around ?

Chop the ends off your tanks so they look like those in your pic. You can either add a red FOD plate over the front, or fab up somat from the spares box. And if you don't have a spares box, I'm sure we can all pitch in a few bits for you ! The front of those engines could be made from the tips of bombs....

The pic you show there is a KC-97L, I think. Your model probably depicts an earlier variant -- probably a G. The L model introduced the J-47 jets in place of the outboard fuel tanks. The engines themselves are identical to the B-47's outboard nacelles.

The hump on the fuselage top is a rendezvous antenna -- the same unit can be seen on the back of GRB-36E FICON Peacemakers.

Poor planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part...
