Here is my first what if, don't know if a F-4F has been done up like this or not but here goes. So far all I have done is cut off the ends of the wings and attached them to the front of the plane. It's a 1/144th scale from academy.

The Rat

A fine start, keep them pics coming!

Yes....a fine start indeed ! Looks rather like a Euro Typhoon at first glance.

Keep it up !

As the master Baz once said "The first cut is the hardest". From here it's easy going, keep it up.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Thanks everyone! I feel all warm and fuzzy inside now -- kinda like when climbing the rope in gym class

Here's a new pic I just cut off the vertical stabilizer and added one from a GTD-21 drone. This is the last mod of the night, have to be in to work 4 hours early tomorrow. 4am! Tell me that don't suck!

Nice F-4 ^_^ , so different... and while Mirages have got extra canards for JMNs, Phantoms had not... :( Thanks! ;)
Just 2 questions: B)
- have you considered anhedral foreplanes at the same angle as the Phantom's tailplanes :D ? I think that is not as nice but I am not sure
- won't there be a hard work to make a clean juntion between fuselage and foreplanes  ? as they are glued on a conical part, not matching at first... :(
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

The canards might be a bit big, if they dont sit flush against the nose, or at least too broad.

No I did not! The MAN is makeing us go in that early!

I did not even think about them being too big, nor do I care. Not to be an donkey or anything but it is my first what if and I'm not a  technical of a builder like some of you. I don't know what the last F stands for (F-4F) or what markings it should have. I did not even know what they (wings in front) were called untill you pointed it out to me. I will fill the cracks in with the green stuff. I'm sure the vertical stabilizer is incorrect also but I can live with it.

Don't worry, we're all confident you can make it work. Really, technical details hardly mean anything on this planet. Im sure 90% of the kitbashes and structural conversions would fly like a brick if actually built as real aircraft.

We were all beginners once and trust me, your first shot is a lot cooler looking and will probably turn out better than mine!
