I pulled out some old subjects that have reignited my interest while I ponder how much of my paint supply I'm replacing before finishing the aerial armada.  So, along with the AAC that should have some new pics and progress by tomorrow, I have some older naval subjects to throw out there.

US Navy, LCS (Littoral Control Ship) USS Morgan nee Iowa

US Navy, FFG Upgrade program

Royal Navy, BBG HMS Rodney

Royal Navy, BBG HMS Howe

Royal Navy, CC/CCG, HMS Tiger over 50 years

Soon to be added:  JMSDF BB/CV Ise, USN CVN 78, BCGV HMS Hood

I still need to cut some inserts on the Morgan/Iowa, and then I need to get some decent paints since mine appear to be sucking muchly at the moment.  I guess 7 years is long enough of a shelf life though.

EDIT: Weird thing about the Morgan/Iowa, those ramps are at most, 7-8 degrees.  They look like 20/25 in these pictures though, must be the angle of the shot.

That's some cool stuff proditor! I'm especially fond of your "Littoral Control Ship". Some great concepts and I can't wait to see more of your progress!

Here are some pics of the prelim work on the Ise.

Total scratchbuilding is so rewarding, and time consuming ... GOOD!

Rodney as a BBG? The war'll be over before she gets there - by the time Tomahawk comes around, she'll be pushing 60. Which is very, very old for a warship.

Now, the Howe, I can see - there were proposals in the '50s to fit her with the Sea Slug missile.

Nice concepts, though...

I'm particularly fond of your LCS Proditor! What a great concept and your execution so far is impressive! I hope you have some 1/700 scale aircraft to put on the deck.

For Rodney, I had a back story that saw her mothballed until the late 70's, and with her machinery zero-timed during the refit.  Same for the Howe, though I have her coming out in the late 2000's for the beginning of her refit.  The Howe refit is obviously much more extensive, similar to the Faces II Iowa refit that results in the LCS of 2012.

I have to dig these suckers back out, and the LCS is probably going to be renamed the USS Puller (For Chesty Puller) since it all but becomes a Marine vessel on it's rededication in 2008.

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, these little suckers were a ton of fun.  Now I just have to finish a few of them!

For the airwing btw, I'm actually considering going with UCAV's.

And how would you afford beer when the fines send you bankrupt?  :P

Good to see you back at the navy stuff. I have a few ship projects I want to do but they are still a little ways off. I do need to get back on my Pirate Vosper patrol boat, heck I should put it in the Phoenix Group Build, for that matter yours should be in JHM's Phoenix build too!
