One of my current projects is this pair of BAE 'Combat Hawk's aka, the Hawk 300 and its single seat brother the Hawk 400.

Created by developing a new afterburner for the Adour engine based on that of the Typhoons EJ-200, It made the Hawk Supersonic in level flight for the first time with a Max speed of 840mph for the two seater and 880mph for the single seater.

The two seater model is an advanced trainer and close support/anti shipping strike aircraft while the single seater is a true swing role fighter being equipped with the Ferranti Blue Vixen radar of the Shar 2 and the PIRATE IRST system of the Typhoon (where specified).

Right guys, here are some photos showing the new nozzles (ex-Typhoon) and rear fuselages widened with a strip of plastic card in the underside join. They are both Italeri Hawk 100's but the Matchbox 200 donated its forward fuselage and a lot of headaches. The PIRATE can be seen on the single seater and mocked up outer pylons on both of them .

What I want now is, who would fly it? Any ideas for Air Forces for these babies (assuming they don't end up British) An early idea of mine was to make the single seater with a tail hook as the 'Sea Hawk F/A.3' of the RN, but I don't have the T-45 nosewheel that would need so I wont bother.

I love your idea of supersonic Hawk!!

For the country, what about those small maritime states, little islands with a lot of potential ennemies but with no money to buy big fighter...

I think about Comoros, Djibouti, Mauritius, Sri Lanka or... MALTA !!!!

How about New Zealand, or maybe license built by Embraer for Brazilian service..?
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

looking GREAT - i would love to see the single seaters with RAF reserve squadrons, or used as laser designators for strike packages with tonkas.

Cool!

Maybe the smaller/not-so-rich European countries would be a good place for the Hawk. e.g. Belgium, Luxemburg, Denmark, and the Eastern Eropean states. Also, every country that has used Alpha Jet or AMX in the past.

Plenty of food for thought there, though I don't know where I would get most of the decals from!

I absolutely love those Canadian Hawks, but they look like they've covered all the bases, the ones I have been thinking of are

Australia - two seater with centreline Sea Eagle for anti shipping role (yes, I did stick the gun on in 'auto glue' mode)

New Zealand  - Air defence single seater with two sidewinder, 2 amraam, and two tanks

RAF - Hawk GR.3 - two seater for close support role in reformed RAFVR.

RN - Sea Hawk F/A.1 - single seater in reformed RNVR.

Saudi - single seat fighter bomber.

Canada (sadly, no decs) two seater - as Australia, single seater - as RN

I also have the 'Hawks in foreign Service' sheet on order as well as the  ZOTZ 'vivacious vipers'  F-16 sheet to think about.

Oh, and yes. I am IN LOVE with thse two

Eli Raphael at Albatros/Zotz is making "Rondelles of the World."  He's made two different sets to cover all of Africa.  I'm sure he'll eventually get around to the rest.  I've never had any complaints with any decals I've ever got from him.  They're beautiful!

You might also be able to find someone to do some custom decals for you.
