Well I'm not actually working on much apart from painting the Yak (decals on the way, same for the Lavochkin, and a Sea Fury is inbound...).

This pic just gives you the overall view of my table...it's right next to the bed (on the girlfriend's side, but guess what...she actually LIKES the model-making aromas!

You can see a formation of Lego to the left...a 1/48 Blenheim.

Just thought I'd share. Yak pics in a day or two. No whiffing with that, but I'm beginning to consider an RNZAF Fury used in Korea.... B)

Girlfriend? Not Wife?! You're living in sin?!?!?!    ;)

And if she actually likes the smells associated with modeling then you need to make an honest woman of her quickly.  B)

Um...we're only 18....but we're well on the way, trust me.

She says the smell of glue and paint doesn't bother her. We're made for each other! :D

Yep, you are.   :D  :D

But be aware, my wife didn't mind the aromas of modeling either, that is until we where married for a couple of years. <_<  Fortunatrly by that time I had my hobbyroom ready

Only 18?! What is this world coming to when mere 18 year-olds can openly co-habit without benefit of clergy? You should have to sneak around and hide it from society...

But seriously 'Spitty', she's definitely a keeper if she can put up with both modeling and the sort of person who would hang out on a board like this.  :P

Thanks guys...

On a more serious note, you may remember the Yak-3 and Lavochkin La-9 models I was working on...well the subject aircraft were both owned by none other than Ray Hanna, who as most of you know passed away two days ago, so I have decided to complete them as my personal memorial to him.

Updates will be posted as the project progresses.

Wow, I don't think I could have, er, "relations" knowing that my unbuilt models were in the room...   :o

As for the sad passing of Mr. Hanna, after reading Ollie's thread, I couldn't help but pull a Spitfire kit from the stack...   :(

That's an idea. I'd love to do a build of MH434 in one of the famous schemes.

Cohabit...strange way to put it, Mrs K5054NZ says.

Well when I was your age that's what we called it - our parent's called it "living in sin"  ;)

Well "living in sin" is how dad describes it to his mates.

Oh well, so much for my thread about my workbench.

Sigh... <_<

Hey - I'm past 200 posts HOORAY!

Get used to it, around here beer and/or sex will hijack a thread pretty damned quick.  ^_^

Actually I'm envious. At the moment we're stuck in a basement with two kids, so I have to clear a space on the coffee table whenever I want to work, and then it has to get packed up immediately otherwise things disappear.

6 1/2 months to go, 6 1/2 months...

Okay, back to the topic at hand.
Don't want this to sound kinky but, if you'd be willing, I'd like you to post a shot of how this workbench of yours really fits within the context of your shared bedroom as that just amazes me.

Do you two currently occupy an apartment?  If so, that's dedication, man.
When I first moved out and was living in a tiny one-bedroom apartment with my first spouse, there was a very talented Argentinian artist living on our floor with a wife and kid who worked out of a 4' x 6' storage closet.
