QuoteOkay, back to the topic at hand.
Don't want this to sound kinky but, if you'd be willing, I'd like you to post a shot of how this workbench of yours really fits within the context of your shared bedroom as that just amazes me.

Do you two currently occupy an apartment?  If so, that's dedication, man.
Ollie - terrific model! I'd love to do one of the BoB film Spits! I'd love to do the Airfix 1/72 Mark I with a four blade prop and six-stub exhausts. Excellent
Bazza - here's some pics.

And guess what - this will probably incense you guys even more - I'm still living at home! It was actually my mum/mom's idea for Lana (for that is Madame K5054NZ's name) to move in with us! INTO MY ROOM! BTW she's also my first "real" girlfriend, as in, we celebrated three months together on Friday.

So, yeah.

Ahem.

Times (and parents) HAVE changed.

And modeling. I've always had a modeling desk in my room, right from the age of five (Academy 1/72 MD500 with infrared supressing exhausts, I think, was my first ever build, at least, it was a black Hughes T-Tail).

Jessica Alba on the wall and planes everywhere!!! And are the books I can see Sci Fi novels??!
Well, even if I just concider Jessica Alba, I could tell you're a very good man!!

Well, it's sounds like my own experience!  ;)

For the models, I have not very much to say... I don't care very much about post-1945 planes!!
Sorry...

But well, I just imagine your room with some TSR.2 -well!! Eagle GR.6 I mean!!- models everywhere!

Thanks, Zac.

Man, does this bring back memories:
models all over the place, posters of whatever the hell *I* want anywhere I want.

But, having your girlfriend live with you after a couple of months when you're only 18??  I wish *I* had grown up in NZ!!!

Is Ms. K5054NZ also 18?

Styrene in my blood and an impressive void in my cranium.

#18
Bazza, she's actually two weeks OLDER than me! But 18, yes.

Pollux - all the models you can see (except the blurry Argentine Super Etendard and Huey) are PRE-1945! They're generally all I do! Did you not see the Fokker Triplane and Corsair on the wall? But until the GR.6s... oh I just can't wait! And the books? Tom Clancy, Johnnie Johnson, Paul Brickhill (the Douglas Bader book), Mario Puzo, tons of warbird magazines and lots of DVDs.And four Falklands War books. I only have ONE sci-fi book - The Hitchhiker's Guide To The Galaxy!

Ah....home sweet home...I only wish I had more room to display my models...most are locked away in the closet...

K5054NZ

I'm surprised interest in my private life has suddenly died away...how depressing...

Well, I'm sorry, I would say "pre-1945" instead of "post-1945"...
I know a lot about political world and planes after the WWII, but before, I had to admit that it never interrest me (the planes, not the politic, of course)

Sorry for the confusion: It's still not so easy to me to write in English and I was wrong on the only word in my sentence that sound exactly the same in English and French: "post" and "pre"!!

For the books, you've got half my own library (the other part of mine is composed of 2à or 30 Sci Fi and Fantasy novels!! ;) )
I asked you that because here in France, I know a lot of people (and I'm part of them!!) that dream to come in NZ after having seeing the "Lost of the Rings" trilogy!!!

And about the fact you live with your girlfriend, it's not very surprising me... Even if after only 3 months, even here in France, it's not very common!!
The real strange fact here is that your find a girl who doesn't want to burn everything in your room that looks like a plane!! ;)

Well... We speak a lot about your life, the others' lifes, the evolution of the sexual society... Uh... Wasn't it a modelers forum??

A modeler's forum...that's what I thought   ! I post a pic of my workbench and everyone starts asking about my girlfriend...sheesh! But it's all good.

And don't worry, I understand the language difficulty.

Christ Zac, your work area is even more cramped than mine. You produce some damm fine work from that small corner, I'm impressed.

Why thank you. It always warms my heart to hear modeling pros praise my work.

Shucks, where's a blushing smilie when you need it?
