Zac was nice enough to open his world up to us and since this part of the forum does mention showing your work bench, here's mine. Zac, here's what can happen if you play your cards right. My wife and I have split the house up evenly. I get this one small room and she gets the rest of the house.  ;)  You may notice the walls are boards and that's because this room used to be a porch many moons ago (some parts of this house are approx. 90yrs. old) and now it's been closed in to make this room and my son's room. This room measure 7'6"X 14' and as you can see, it's my little world. I let my wife come in and use the computer sometime.      ;)  The actual workbench is pretty small, but the trade off is I put what I want on the walls and ceiling. Anyway this is where the madness takes place....... Share your area here if you'd like( it's probably been done in the past, but consider it an update). :)

What is that a full scale pic? A WHOLE room you lucky fuzzy bunny! Did you catch that Bass? It's HUGE. Wanna see more of that twin tail F-16

Fortunately in my 600 sq. ft apartment 450 of it is in the kitchen, so I have enough room for this bomb site. Yeah i know i need to change the calendar and yes that is an unfinished Gannet in the top right.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Wow. I feel honoured to have been into your butchers shop, Eddie. I'm glad I could persuade you to show your sanctuary.

BTW cute kids.

Cute BA A-4 as well    :P

Now, I wonder who'll be next to post here with their hideout?

Leigh you were too quick for me! Nice....and you have the Ghosts calendar? Grrr...I haven't had a Ghosts calendar since 1998.....how about a closeup of that desk and your stash? B) If my eyes are not mistaken I see the Airfix Firefly in the stack?

Eddie M.

Leigh,
Yes, I did catch that bass. It's 18" and it weighed 5lbs. before the taxidermist.
Here's my F/A-34 Sea Falcon. This was my first from the wheels up kitbash. That's where I learned how much fun whatiffery could be. :)

Eddie, that bottom shelf is a whiff dream!

I seem to remember you posting that F-104 thingie in the middle a while back and loving it!

Leigh, that is the perfect modelling desk my friend!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I like the F16 thingee. And glad to see I'm not the only one to attempt an EB-52...although mine was one of those Minicraft "Sky Giants" kits...

Okay, more bench shots please!

Thanks everyone for the kind words! Leigh, you have a cool bench there my friend. At least you had the guts to show what it looks like when you're working on it. I try to clean mine up before I hit the rack. Other than that it usually looks like a small plastic bomb went off. :P

Aero, I call that F-18/104 the F-42 Sea Javelin.  ^_^

Great F/A-34 /twin-fin-F-16   and the FrankenWorks are actually amazing! :D
Just a disturbing question, sorry... what about dust? How can you keep rather clean such a giant collection, with many canopies open moreover? Is the air coming-in 'filtered' (to remove any dust)? ;)

What you can't see is the incredible dust collection I have to go with my models. <_<  Believe me, it's hard to keep it under control.

Zac,
Here's how I numbered my hybrids. F/A-34 Sea Falcon( 16+18,easy :) The rest are USN aircraft carrier numbers. F/A-41 Warlock( Midway), F-42 (Roosevelt)and the F-61F Archangel III( Ranger. I served on the Midway and Ranger, so those were easy to come up with )My latest Hornet/ Mirage is probably going to be the F-43 Boomslang (Coral Sea) All the names were suggested by some fine folks in another forum that rhymes with FSM. ;)

Todd that is cleaned up. And I too would like to see the Gannet finished seeing as it was started as an entry for Latin-o-rama. <_<

Zac yes it's an Airfix Firefly, no you can't have it, and no I'm not posting pictures of my stash that's only about 25% of it, the rest is under the bench and taking up a whole kitchen cabinet.

Eddie great minds think alike, my first ever WIF and attempt at kitbashing?scratchbuilding was a twin tail F-16 with a hump too.

It seems twin-tail F-16 have been mass-produced, in A/C and XL versions! Great!

Woah Leigh that's one of the most gorgeous paint jobs I've ever seen! I'm amazed you did go blind with all that masking...
