Here's a Hasegawa 1/72 F-16CCV demonstrator militarized.  I got it from the Hurricane Releif Pot Luck Sale over at Starshipmodeler.com a few months back, and built it up using decals from Aztec Models.  Originally, I was going to do a standard lawn dart up using the decals (from an A-4), but bought this thing and it spoke to me.

The Whiffery Logic:

This is one of 38 examples of the F-16L Agile Falcons sold to Argentina in the late-80's.  It was used primarliy as an interceptor, but could be equipped with ASuW weapons.  This plane has the kill marking for the South African carrier, Cape Town (the ex-HMS Monmouth, which was sunk during the South Atlantic Shoot Out (aka Southern Tanker War)  of 1991.

Forgot to mention it's armed with four AIM-9's and two Matra 530's from an ESCI Mirage F1 kit.

Looks great pal, the only thing that I didn´t like it´s the blue paint in the camo. ...just don´t see it how could be useful, even if it´s only for decoration....
But that´s my opinion, I´m a panzer guy, y´know  :P  :tank:
cheers

That's the actual paint scheme, though the blue I used may be a shade or three too dark.  In any case, I thought it goofy enough to try, and I liked it better than the green and bright yellow scheme that was on the sheet.

With Chilean Mirage 2000 and Argentinian F-16, that looks like weapon race... :(  I hope the result will be peace, rather than war... ;)
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

The picture in front of the hanger/barn is way cool.    F-16's really need snazzy paintjobs, you made a good choice :)
