Polish Air Force JG90 EFA

Here's an old 1/72 Revell JG90/EFA done up as part of a new Polish Air Force.  I was going to paint it like one of their Mig-29's, but I wanted to do something else other than the standard grey on grey paint scheme.  I substituted RAF azure blue for the darker grey, and added some decals I had sitting around from that GLORIOUS Soviet Navy Italeri Tu-28K I did for RODINA!!!

Ahem!  How'd he get out?

Anyhow, this plane is armed with a mix of weapons from all over (US made AGM-84H SLAM-ER's, European AIM-132 ASRAAM's, and Soviet, er, Russian AA-12 Amraamskis in the Amraam wells).

I'm loving the great Typhoon schemes showing up this week.  First Anthony's now this.  It just goes to show theres nothing wrong with grey on a warplane, as long as it's not JUST grey.

You have made double what-if.

Apart from this Thyphoon, it's markings are what-if, as well!

Since 1918 till early 90's they had been painted with red in a top, left corner.  Suddenly in early 90's one of our MP's suggested it should have white in top left corner to match polish flag.

The government accepted it without any doubts, and now the correct version is: white in a top, left corner. Hopefully, one day, someone will turn it to the right position, and will leave nice subject for XXI century modellers
