My next kit to be build is the Grokhovsky G-38, 1/72, from Unicraft models.
The prototype has never been completed, cancelled 1936, but I plan to build a 1939/2005 different version, even more what-if...

My project is to bring company to my GP-38 Lightning pedal-boat (or Space-Ship Zero):
P-38 --> GP-38 <-- G-38, simply. So with the Latin GP-38 (Glider-Pursuit, 38th) will be a Cyrillic GP-38 (Grokhovsky-Planer meaning Grokhovsky-Glider, 38th)... floating on a quiet lake or falling from the sky, as you want.

Ooh, this should be interesting :)

Sales of Airfix kits plummeted in the 1980s, and GCSEs had to be made easier as a result - James May

The one on the lower left needs only a horizontal tail (most likely a T-tail) and some floats integral to the booms to make a nice Ekranoplane, IMHO.

That lower left one looks alot like Space Ship One too!

Tophe my friend those builds of yours are coming along just fine! Never stress about how long it takes to finish them...work on them when you feel the urge and enjoy the ride! :) Thanks for sharing your progress with us.

Here is she, dear engineer :) with air-cushion between hulls?... GP-38E with E for Ekranoplan or for Evan (to pronounce Ivan, yes Ivan-the–Terrible  , frightening tsar of Russia :( )... :D

Whoa Tophe - looks like you could start a trend for racing Ekoranoplan's with this one - terrific. I can just see it in Ferrari Red

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Whoa Chris, you were so right: terrific!

Well, as the G-38 prototype has never been achieved, presenting a G-38 with Soviet Red Stars and Snow White painting is already What-ifing... See the many nice pictures at http://www.fantastic-plastic.com/G-3LightC...CruiserPage.htm
