I recently tried to thin a bottle of Testors MMA flat black with future instead of water, and I was quite surprised that it not only worked but that the paint stayed flat instead of 'glossing' up.

Did you clean you airbrush afterwards if you used one?  Never.....repeat NEVER leave Future in your airbrush.  You'll be cleaning it for weeks.  Yes, I'm speakinging with personal knowledge.....

TOUGH!!!!!
 ;)

I love my Aztek.  Hell I airbrush EVERYTHING.  Freehand brush painting is a skill I lack.  Probably because I choose to use Testor MM enamals that don't lay down worth poo-poo (with an english accent) by hand........ :P

I usually thin with isopropyl alcohol or denatured alcohol.  I've tried Future with the airbrush, and didn't much care for the results.

I'd seriously run some windex through your brush before you put it away, if you're going to run Future through it.  It certainly can dick up your airbrush pretty good.

Shas, you just need to see how the other half lives!

Like you Brad, I love my Aztec, but when it comes to coating with Klear/Future, I alweays do it by hand. I have a serious aversion to shooting Klear through my AB. Although I have shot thinned varnish through it before.

..that's assuming Brad can prise the MM bottle tops off with his wrench.

I'm gonna try handpainting the three tone camo (Humbrols) on a Rooivalk helo soon, (easier to follow the pattern on the instructions) but then lightly feather the edges using an airbrush.

No need to ever airbrush future/Klear, it hand brushes on just fine, and hides a multitude of sins too.

Nox - I gather Isopryl alcohol is impossible to get in the UK, at least as a retail commodity.  I think they make you sign the poisons register or something, apparently the tramps used to drink it?  Anyway, I got me a whole stash from a PX in Germany.  Lifetimes supply - assuming I use it for brushes / acrylics, rather than with lemon and ice.
