Greetings all,

My first post on this forum... I wish to present you the national insignia of Palombia:

Palombia is a land of South America, imaginated by Franquin, author of "Spirou" (for Nils: "Robbedoes"  ;)  ), a famous Belgian comic heroe (as famous here as Tintin). In the forrest of Palombia is living a very particular animal, the Marsupilami.

In one of the books of the series, it can be seen that Palombia was owning F-86 Sabres and BAC Canberra's...

Archibald

Very cool! I regurlarly watch the anime based on Franquin's comic (Marsupilami).

Trouble is, it seems that  France 3 (channel 3 in France) has decided to broadcast the anime again and again for two years  now <_<

I've asked myself regularly what could be Palombian Air Force aircrafts and roundels, but thought they have none  because of Franquin's (well known) anti-war feelings.

Welcome here!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

Thank you for the welcome, Archibald!

Yes, Franquin was wel known for his anti-war feelings, but in "Le Dictateur et le champignon" - in English: The dictator and the mushroom) you can see Fantasio firing bullets with metomol against a F-86 Sabre trying to take-off to pursue the Canberra Spirou and Seccotine stoled to bombard with metonol the Palombian frontline...

Greetings
Daniel

Interesting, this thread.

Maybe if I post enough, I'll actually do something with this:

Commonwealth Space Agency logo:

And ensign:

I tried to come up with a Commonwealth logo that was different from the actual one, and instead made something that looks like a clamp around the world...

I don't think it's nice, you laughin'. You see, my mule don't like people laughin'. He gets the crazy idea you're laughin' at him. Now if you apologize, like I know you're going to, I might convince him that you really didn't mean it.

If anyone wants my specific thoughts on schemes for the aircraft etc involved with this story, just PM me.  Richard, did this range of roundels in conjunction with me.

Downloaded the motherlode of insignia and roundels today from Simmers:

   Multi grouped national markings v1.2

57 layers of national markings, including What-Ifs!

I just cleaned out my roundel file!

On another note, for a project I'm working on, I made a Royal Saudi Air Force titles template:

Email me for the cleaned-up .psd file of this.
