QuoteI'm just glad that the Airfix GB has taken off as well as it has this time.
Lancer, who do I contact to see if we can get forum opened up in the group build section? Thorvic? Supertom?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Comment seconded, this GB is going to be awesome! I'm having second thoughts re the ARC Helo GB, just can't be bothered doing ANOTHER MD500!

Bring on March!!!

K5054NZ

Okay, just put the little rack of rockets from Matchbox's Strikemaster into the Chipmunk box.

Hey guys, for what is essentially a Brit FAC, can I use the designation AOP or should it be something else?

John Howling Mouse

I'm in.  That was THIS June, right?

Maybe I'll just paint and decal something differently...

mmm...where's me bandsaw?

Our Southern Front club had their Airfix Challenge last week.  They opened it up to Heller kits as well.  They aren't Whiff but still some nice builds.
Here is a link to this years contest.

NARSES2

QuoteI believe either Leigh or Narses2 are the gruppenfuhrers for this build.  So any questions/complaints/bricks should be thrown in their direction.
I'm preaty certain it's not me Lee ?
Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.

Yeah but only 'cos someone had to do SOMETHING, running this thing means I don't really get to compete, and my impetus is always tanning your hides :P

Well, count me in. I'm doing a P.1127 (an OOB build since the 1127 is a prototype)...
Got a few more Airfix kits in the stash that would be suitable, too (F-16XL, VC-10); we'll see how it goes.

Supertom

I've got one, maybe two.  Construction starts tomorrow.

gives someone else a chance to win, at least  ;)

Woo hooo it's March 1st! Time to start! My only problem is, which of my four entries do I want to work on first? Decisions, decisions, decisions...

I completely forgot that yesterday was March 1!!!

CHIPPIE FOR ME! And tomorrow's my day off.......yay! FAC Chipmunk, here I come! WHOOP WHOOP!

Started at 0:01GMT and modelled on and off through today. As of writing, I have my firstkit ready for the first coat of paint. However, things may well slow down a bit now as I need to research the colour scheme, and so far my efforts through Google and dogpile have come to naught.
Oh yeah, I've still got my two original kits from the abortive Airfix GB from last year, so I may put them in as well.

What I need research on is the colour ID's for the JASDF 2 & 3 colour blue schemes that they use. And thats all I'm saying about build no.1.

Only one? Oh, that's right, you're working on those kits. I understand.

I haven;t gone near my entry yet (amazing ain't it?). I got sent home early from work today (2pm rather than 5:30) cos there are so few people in town. I;m gonna do some flight simming first (take my Hawker Hunter around a few places, do a low level cross-country in XR219, maybe do some Fouga Magister) and then spend the day on my FAC Chipmunk tomorrow. And some of tonight.
