As some of you may known, I've been talking about bashing these two jets that I got at Wally world for $11 apiece. This will be the first build for me that started with new models. WOW! What a difference in putting things together. :) This probably looks a bit mundane, but I've got a certain lookin mind. Simplicity is the key. ^_^

No offence Eddie, but if you think that looks mundane you're a wierdo!!

It looks anything but mundane.  Cant wait to see more.  Who will the operator be and what time frame?

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I think I'm going to try and combine the decals, but keep the F-106 color scheme, maybe going for a late 60s, early 70s look. I am going to use the weapons bay and use new missiles. I've also got the re route the intakes a bit. I'll be chipping away at it over the next few .........months ;)

in the first pic, i was agreeing with you....kinda mundane.

but seeing that underside shot with that giant bay......wicked !

and Aeroman, it's already an established fact that Eddie's a wierdo !

That one looks bloody good already.  I'd fill in the F-106's main gear wells and use the F-15's gear.  That wing should allow you lots of stores hardpoints; you could even chop the tips a bit for wingtip rails.

Oh. My. God. I need a tissue.........

Eddie, that is so beautiful. You, sir, are a modeling god. Should look great next to the 18/Mirage. Also, just thinking with an idea, what if you used the Hill Gray 2 scheme like the 106 Jennings posted earlier? Also, any chances of the reverse for this? You know, 106 fuse with 15 wings or some such?

Other than the fact that it was a serious proposal, how about the F-15 wings on a F-4?  I think you'd need a bit more than the F-15's wings to properly fit the F-106 fuselage.

The only thing left of the 106 is the aft fuselage. It would almost have to end up as either a trainer (T-38 type?) or test bed aircraft.. I do like the idea of a F-4/15 mix. B)

Off to another great start Eddie! So is it easier working with new parts or is it easier with a built kit that already has a shape you can see?

JMNs may shout "Hey! With a F-15 kit and a F-106 kit, cannot you see what simplicity is leading to?!?!!!   "
:D I prefer simplicity your way, Eddie  Alas I have not the skills to reach such a level in simplicity... :(  :P
