The idea for this is based on a Longrange ,cold weather, patrol fighter. Budget restrictions only allowing for a small number of 707 type tankers being available various "extra" fuel would have to be carried.
All of the displayed tanks were( will be ?) fitted and tried out.

Watch this space as they say.

Nice, surprising!
My favorite detail is the tail! No fin! What-ifing at its best, thanks! :D Such a serious machine, able to deliver much loads, but not to fly... :P
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Captain Canada

All that extra tankage will be a great way to deliver beer to the boys up North !

Expedient !

There's a fin on there Tophe, but it shows the value of camoflage, it took me a while to find it!

Okay, one redneck now openly sobbing with gladness over here...!

Love the speed-blur effect in your background photo, too.

Very nice Dork.

Always loved the viggen!  I wonder what it would look like in RAAF colours?

QuoteJeez, how are you such a Photoshop master? WOW!
The last "Low Viz" high latitude scheme ( with just a hint of pink for our mate Radish). :o  :o

THe whole project was scrapped after the icing problems with the French "Le chic " radar and the buget wouldnt allow for a refitting of the Bung and Ollieson "eyes down look in" radar and laser disk system.

I think they were transfered for trials down under......but as I dont have Kiwi markings ...it was most probably the Aussies got 'em.

No photoshop this is real.................why is my nose growing...and growing and....

Captain Canada

cool ! I love it when you can get 2 or 3 versions out of the same kit...especially when you get some realistic shots of each one.

Cheers !
