Aloha all,
here is something I Photoshopped a couple of years back.
I've layed out the Monogram kits for the project a couple of times, but I haven't started chopping and gluing yet.

I've not yet thought about colours and markings. Any suggestions?

Cheers, Jon

Just make sure to fire both 30mm's at the same time! Asymmetric recoil like that can be nasty...

That just has to be a land based ship killer !

Damn something that hurtful could be a ship-based LAND killer...

P.S. I'd reccomend USMC ground attack camo.

Thanks and congratulations
And welcome here if you are a newcomer. We have several masters in Photoshop handling, but I think you are the first focusing on line drawings, enriching our dreams :)
For the twin A-10, do you know mwf4nut's models and Aircavpinkteam's drawing, displayed at http://www.whatifmodelers.com/forum//index...?showtopic=6901 ?
With all those variants, the subject is becoming nicely big, and prooved serious... so many modelers cannot be wrong :P

Cheers Tophe,
actually I've been familiar with the 'What-if' site since its inception...and I've anonymously lurked on the forums from time to time. Just never got around to using the forums until the other day.

I hadn't seen the other A-10 dualies, but its nice to know I'm not alone in my dementia.

I have another A-10 project I've developing using the Trumpeter 1/32nd two-seater:
a USMC all weather attack machine, fully navalized with folding wings and a lightened 3-barrelled version of the GAU.

I've been debating with myself on wingfold style...fold in the middle ala the Skyraider or the more complex, but cooler looking, Grumman slewed-hinge style folding the wings back along the fuselage.

Cheers, Jon

The Grumman approach would seem the more logical, the two were neighbors and engineers and other personnel did move between them.

Till someone tells us what the second crew member would have to do, I present the Photopainted single-seat version of the A-10Z, thanking Jon again... :P

The second seater would do what second seaters do in any All-weather Day-or-night attack aircraft...run the weapon systems while the other guy does the easy part.  :D

Your single seat version would be OK for mostly daylight ops, but I've always thought of it as an NAW type ala the F-15E etc.

It is soooo good to hear that others are thinking the same way.  I've been collecting bits and pieces for a N/AW-10 for the Navy.  I was thinking of putting the dual rail adapter for the Sidewinders on both outer stations with one Sidewinder and one HARM and maybe hang an ECM pod below it.  I'm not sure what else to put under it, but I've bought the Academy F-18 and F-16 just for the weapons so I can use them on the A-10.

Would it be possible to hang some AIM-120's under it, with someone else like an F-18 providing the radar and guidance?  Kind of like buddy lasing?

There are a lot of possibilities.  I love A-10's...........

I've been thinking of a naval variant of the N/AW version with the gun removed, the radar from a F-14 installed, and a plethora of AAMs under the wings.  "Missileer" anyone?

I  dont think that center wheel is necesary. Neither is the center vertical stabilisor. Maybe the two remaining vertical stabilisors should be larger  :tornado:
