From the Airfix web site;

We are now in a position to give dates on TSR.2 availability. The kits are due in the country on February 15th and, assuming no delays with customs, will start shipping week commencing February 20th. Customers can expect to see the first kits appearing in shops later that week, with other stockists following shortly afterwards.

Club members will have exclusive access to a further 250 kits which will be pre-sold on Airfix.com shortly and strictly limited to 2 kits per club member. As we expect this offer to offer be over-subscribed, we will advertise the timing in advance to ensure fairness to all.

The February edition of Scale Aviation Modeller International, available to buy shortly, features an exclusive first look at the TSR.2 via pre-production test shots.

Kind regards

I've only got a few minutes because we're going away this weekend and I've got stuff to do, no time to do more detailed shots (plus copyright issues, which I'm already kinda infringing on)

quickly scanning the article, the aithor (Gary Hatcher) is very impressed with it - especially considering its only a test shot.

I'm sure Lee and Joe will go throught the article with a fine tooth comb and give us their experten verdict :)

Article looks good and that last picture certainly looks nose down to me. Love that the main undercarriage doors even have the correct holes in them.

Hope that copy will be at work when i get back next week....;)

cheers

Sorry to be a spoil sport chaps. But at my reqest Geoff/Thorvic has deleted the pics in Nevs reponce. Why? SAM publications have a new much more heavy handed policy regarding copy right, including the web. basicly deneying the use of any part of any of their publications to web sites (how ever inocent) with out the permision of SAM publication.   In other words were covering the sites arse.

In future lads, make sure u read the copy right  first before "doing the lads a favor" and posting up bits of interest. And save your self a posible legal head ache
I always hope for the best.
Unfortunately,
experience has taught me to expect the worst.

Thanks for the update Bruce, let's hope Wooksta leaves enough for Canada to get one!  :P

Mail me a breeding pair of Tuataras, then maybe we can, uh, do a little business...

Martin, I understand where you're coming from - that was why I purposely took lo-res, far-away photos, rather than up-close detailed scans. My pictures weren't big enough to examine the articles photos, nor read the text.

I wanted to post the pictures of the magazine to show people that yes there truly was an article on the Airfix TSR2 in this months SAMI, and yes the magazine was out.  People on the internet are notoriously mistrustful and if I had just said "I have the mag and it says x, y, z", somebody somewhere would have called me a liar.  In fact, pictures of a magazine aren't enough proof for some folk, but thats another story...  <_<

Yes, smuggling endangered dinosaurs, that's muuuuuuch easier than buying more than one TSR.2 in New Zealand...
