I found this at http://www.magazineart.org/general/technic...alexperimenter/

What a hell is this plane? American?
(Imperfectly) corresponding, I see only the Wight Twin-Landplane (UK), SIA 7/9 & Breda Italia (Italy). Has somebody another suggestion ?
Is it the nice creation of the what-if grandfather of one among us...? And will one of us dare to scratchbuild such a bird ? As far as I am concerned, I prefer the more aerodynamic shapes that appeared later in History, but I know that some of us love the very old birdcages...

That's very interesting Tophe. It reminds me of something from the cover of The Electrical Experimenter magazine. Most of the stuff on those covers were purely conjectural. Still, it seems once again you and I are on a wavelength. I've been thinking about using my 1/72 Eduard DH-2 kit to build an early biplane version of a P-38.

It seems I can't look at a model kit any more without thinking of ways to whif it.

The Rat

Looks like a pure fantasy Tophe, it's what happens when a magazine editor gets the nearest artist to draw an airplane - NOW!  ^_^
