Which option should I pick for the shortened version?

LOACH helo (lightly armed but more for observation).
10 (37%)
Full-blown (but shorter) light attack helo?
4 (14.8%)
Civilian business helo?
6 (22.2%)
Other? (specify)
7 (25.9%)

Because I will end up with two, similar helo's out of this exercise in ugliness, I am trying to plan what role the shorter one would occupy.  The longer one is definitely destined to become a large, multi-purpose combat/attack helo.

At present, it will have that god-awful Soviet turquoise interior color but, other than that, it could go with any of the options stated (or others I have not yet considered).

What do you think?

I think a military dealie with lots of guns would look great, but for something a bit different I'm voting Civilian corporate helo.  How about custom decals for "Flange Brothers Mobile Abbatoir" or some other suitably "ugly" business?

So I got that going for me...which is nice....

I will not say that military job is ugly somehow, I will smile into a mild ugly job: getting/transporting tax money from Indian camps far away in the Northern Canadian forest...

My vote was for a LOACHski, but after further reflection, I'm thinking an ag bird would kick some booty:

It would make a nice heliborne companion to the PZL M-15 Belphegor.

Loach sounds good, with those big windows and doors..

You know, that made me wonder just where the heck would I put the winglets on the smaller one with that big door on the side and all.  If going underneath the door's bottom edge, that sure doesn't leave much room for underwing hung ordnance.

And, since there will now be a conventional tail-rotor on the short version, would leaving the aft clamshell doors be kind of a dumb/unsafe idea?

SC: your idea about an AG-version makes me want to buy yet another one of these kits for that concept.  Stop doing that!     Could imagine a very different aft fuselage to store liquids in tanks where the clamshell doors are located on the regular Huskie.  Hmmmm...

What about some sort of firefighter helo?  Or as an alternative a police or coast guard machine?

the longer would be nice as an art of CSAR helo? or maybe as a anti ship helo? with anti ship rockets and fuel tanks...and a rear ramp with a minigun?(5.56mm is enough...a prototype was used during the vietnam war...)
the shorter as a what if police helo with tilt turbines like the one in the Terminator movie...Aerial Hunter Killer
dont forget the flir and other "usefull equipment".... B)

I voted civvie - I'm imagining Toad and Kurly piling into one before flying out to some rig somewhere to do some work!

And the thing about a civvie job is this - you can make up your own butt-ugly corporate scheme with hideously mis-matched colours :)

Looking at the photos and the circular windows you've marked out, I'm sort of hoping they're going to be bubble windows...

IMHO, there's only one scheme that'll do for the little ugly thing - Marine One...

I voted Loach.......but, cos of its ugliess, it's really more of a roach.....eww!

methinks a civil version in Aeroflot markings would really contrast with the military one

How about a civilian security force chopper.  Something for a low-end corporate HRT or protection team?  Perhaps a 7.62 minigun or a pair of M-60's by the doors, and a bunch of well-armed black suits inside.
