OK, the "Mavis" is a well-known flying boat.

Use either scratch-built or modified, or simple license built other stuff to create:

"Ken"

"Diedre"

"Tracey"

"Gail"

"Rosy"

etc..

What d'ya think?

Righteous !

Maybe I'll build a 'Candeece', with a big gaping bomb bay, that the enemy seem to sneek in and out of with no problem at all !

Or a lumbering 4-engined Schmichael........or an early jet prototype with an oversized nose intake called the 'Cilla'

Geez....this could go on and on...I gotta stop watching so much Corrie !

Todd Grimshaw on the Street used to be a modeller when he wasn't having his back door kicked in by Karl the hunky male nurse. Once on the programme he made a 1/48 Spit. TRUE!

This is the curse of speed;  I have been a slave to it all my life. On my gravestone they will carve 'It never got fast enough for me'.

Grimshaw...Grimshaw....

"Eileen"...large bloater of a flying boat with stubby wings?

"Ken"....something small, old, boring, grey but with a loud engine??

"Norris"...obviously a tubby PR type nosing into everything.

"Charlie"...Low level Strike

Must start thinking of types/aircraft to match the names.

"Liz"....aircraft that can operate very well on its back, inverted, and also one that's heavily weathered and well-used.

Rita-A Japanese flying boat that never gets off the water as the bottom ( which you can't see, as it's under water ) is too big !

Roy would have to be some kind of bumbling Steam Train that runs on bacon and beans

Are we talking in some bizarre code chaps?  I may be a Mancunian (OK expat Southern Jessie Manc) but I've not a clue who you're referring to!

And Captain C - why is Corrie so hugely huge in Canada??

I think it's because so many of us have family in the UK, and it's kind of a lifeline back to the Motherland. That and the show's longevity. I mean who doesn't recognize that theme song !
