Yowzers...those are sweet ! I like the second one better. I love the shape of that center section. Not a big fan of the third engine, tho. Which one are you building ? The first one ?

What are you doing with the wing tanks ? Want to trade them for something ? I need a pair for a 48th scale Avro Arrow.

If there is not enough room for a normally large center propeller, a solution would be a double counter-rotating coaxial propeller, no? Big enough thrust with a reduced diameter.

Kerist Wolfic, that's looking great. Hell of a way to fill the cockpit hole.

If ever you sell #1 and #2, I may buy both... Even at 1/48, dear...

Love it Wolfik! The second one is my favorite too! I kinda like that pusher engine...very unique!

If there's not enough ground clearance for the middle engine, perhaps put a turbojet? Itd match all those mixed-propulsion planes in the late 40s

Wolfie,

Go go go with the pusher!

This model looks like a winner all the way.

I must admit, I like version #1.

I can't see that the third engine would add much to the design unless it were a turbojet.  The center pod could look like a Vampire then, and you'd get a bigger speed advantage.  Long range cruise on the props, and short bursts of high speed from the jet.  It would need the horizontal stab/elevator up high on the tail, which always looked good on the Sea Vixen.  The nose could get a good heavy armament reminiscent of the P-38, perhaps 4 20mms and a 37mm.

Remember, too, that the P-82 was a MUCH larger airframe based on the Mustang aerodynamic profile, so this is a truly unique interpretation
