Seems there's a lot of interest in this idea, so the thought occurred to me to offer up a Grand Prize more in keeping with the spirit of this GB. The Grand Prize will be determined by vote in the poll. If you choose "Something Else", please specify in your comments. Thank you.

If you're having a Macguyver GB, then the prize has gotta be a swiss army knife in honour of the great man himself.

If we could figure out the logistics (and the whole DVD region poo-poo (with an english accent)) I'd be willing to cough up some dough for a prize of.....

MACGUYVER SEASON ONE!!!

A box of parts would make a cool prize for a MacGuyver GB.

Ok folks gonna close the voting on this one 8-ish Monday morning, Eastern time. I hope everyone gets a chance to vote before I check the board. Super Tom, that offer is really super! Any chance you can help make this GB official?

I like the idea of including a Swiss Army-like knife in the prize. Consider that added to both prize options.

Thanks for all the interest, fellow whiffers!

But thats what you need to enter, not what you should win.

BTW, I missed this being talked about.  Do we generate our own box of bits, or do we send someone else a random box of bits?

The idea is you take something that's not from a kit (old plastic bottles, old pen, old TV remote, Zac's $700 cell phone) and use it as the basis for an aircraft or AFV build. Wings, tails, props, canopies, wheels, tracks and guns from kits/spares box are ok. The idea for this GB came from Rat's helo-from-a-fishing lure posted recently. For the MacGuyver GB you're on your own for finding the parts. Proposed dates would be May 1 or June 1 until Sept 1., but I'm open to suggestions on the timeframe.

The idea of sending a mystery box of parts to someone is truly inspired and deserves its own GB Nev! The Mystery Box GB...hmmmm...

I appreciate SuperTom's generous offer and would like to contribute something as well.

I offer to pull a short list of models from the stash, from which, the talented winner can choose any one subject of their choice.  That way, armor/naval/auto/sci-fi/aviation enthusiasts could choose a model from the category they prefer as their prize.

Hoping this will intrigue builders of all subjects to take an interest in this most creative Group Build.

Wow Mr. Howling Mouse, thank you for your interest and generosity! This will certainly help get folks involved in the MacGuyver GB "recycling" project.

The folks on this board are the best!

P.S. In the true spirit of this GB, duct tape is allowed.  ;)

I can't take credit for that.  That one came from one of the Starshipmodeller.com crowd...can't remember which one of em it was tho!

Can I make a roll of duct tape out of an old Starfix kit?

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

I can confirm my phone will be an aircraft by the end of this GB! If not this one (trying to sell it) then my next. Got some pretty cool ideas  ;) .

Auugghh gents we stand at a tie on this one currently! I hope I do not spend a sleepless night worrying over what to do next. Cast your vote! The MacGuyver GB needs you!

Ok folks willing to give this poll another day, or week or so until we get a winner. Otherwise, in keeping with the spirit of the GB, the prize might just be a box parts, putty, duct tape and swiss army knife. If this GB gets off the ground, I'd be willing to kick in some cash for the DVD set.

Don't be a scroat, cast your vote!
