But speaking of technical things, with electronics getting smaller over time there for avionics bays getting less clutered, would the TSR2 have been fitted with external ECM pods ?

Surely you recall the trials carried out in 1987 by 617 squadron to see if a modified pod could be used on the Eagle GR.3 in the event of operations dictating a quick ECM upgrade? I refer you to p58 of the first book.

Magnificent! I want a copy of the Squidron/Sognal book! And is the Osprey one devoted to the RAF or are the RAAF and RNZAF covered too?

Any chance of full-size copies of the covers? They look SO DAMNED GOOD I want bigger ones. Seriously.
