Our Hero wakes up, back in his world and has to wearily climb out of his bed, before labouriously plodding up a flight of stained and creaking stairs.
Reaching into a dark nook, he sighs as his tired fingers find his favourite broom, now needed to brush away the swineshite threatening to bring his ramshackle roof down.

Beyond his hovel, manic penguins skate over Hells frozen wastes, giggling in a purple fashion to themselves...

Great story!  Keep going.  As the two are restored to flying condition, black helicopters start appearing in the area.......Think of the airshow demo these two could put on together!  I'd give my left you-know-what to be able to write like this!
