Holy cow Leigh your work is simply amazing! I love those guns! That interior detailing absolutely boggles my mind! You'd have no trouble convincing folks this one was real! I like the idea of tip tanks too and concur with Phil. There's something to the one on the left that adds that extra bit of oomph to this build. Must be the fins. I can't wait to see more of your progress.

In 1:72 scale, you just did everything I never had the guts to attempt for my own 1:35 helos!  Love that interior.  And the guns.

Leigh, seriously cool detail work. I love learning stuff like this...I have already done things I would never have dreamed of but darned if some things aren't still intimidating...kinda like a first date

Thanks for taking the time to show us the progress shots, I always forget to keep the camera handy while I'm working on a project and when it's time to clean up I  remember...DOH!

Thanks guys, not much done the past week, the weekend was busy wiv other stuff, just been putting on greeblies and stuff inside nothing worth posting.
Todd don't worry about the gun I've got nowhere to put it , the front port side will just have to be covered by a crew member with a hand held gun, thruogh the cargo door.

Right i'm posting this competely for my own benefit, maybe give myself a false sense of accomplishment.
Finally finally got some paint on, hard to believe I've spent over a month on this and it's all been glue and plastic not a drop of paint
Just primer but it's good enough for the interior colour.

And with Barry's famous Future sludge wash, also some of the many more interior bits still to go in that I've been working on. Not even started the cockpit or the radar operator's station.
The tail gate drove me nuts and took many attempts. Something so simple, I kinda knew how I wanted it to look but it had to be feasably functional with the axis in the right place so as not to leave a huge gap when either open or closed.

Better look , needs dullcote but at least I feel I'm getting somewhere. Wiring, fire extinguishers, medic station, ammo racks and boxes, seats, life rafts, lights, winch controls, door hydraulics, cargo nets and straps, and cup holders to follow.
