You may have missed the deadline, but it's still a great build!
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Sorry, I posted back on the wrong thread (GB by mistake).  I'll go delete that other thread or whatever to save space.

Here's the latest progress shots, filler panels in place and first truckloads of putty:

Believe it or not, the model looks better in person than these pics of the silver-test-paint would have you believe.

One lesson I learned: Do NOT build when you are in a bad mood.  There was CA glue all over the place and I got to the point where I did not even care if the wings and tailplanes were symmetrical-----I just wanted the buggers to be ATTACHED!!

In the end, the wings have way too much dihedral and look quite dumb, especially for a trainer.  Oh well...

Now I'm debating whether or not to add some plumbing/ribs detailing to the blank homemade wheel wells or just leave them, plunk on a masked Texan canopy and paint this baby up...RCAF trainer yellow with red tips and some black walkways, etc.

Yowsa Baz you're back at the workbench with a vengeance! This one's looking very cool and sleek. My suggestion for the wheel wells is to leave them be. It's those scratchbuilt details that seem to have bogged you down in the past.

Of course, what do I know? All mine are built in "in-flight" mode.

Will this magnificent bird have spats?  ;)

Didi I mention that I love spats?

Um, what did this start life as again?

Man, I can't keep track of all these awesome kit-bashes you do baz.

Thanks, Nev.  I forget sometimes, too.  This one started off as a 1:72 Mistel (lower fuselage, wings, part of the tailfin) and a T-6 Texan (upper fuselage, canopy, parts of the cockpit).

I've got that Mossie-turned-Fighter lying around here somewhere, too....
