Inspired by the likes of Wolfik and Leigh, here is my attempt to embellish my scratchbuilt wheel wells that I was originally going to leave as completely bare:

Some more views.  This took about 5 hours.  Maybe not too smart since you won't be able to see the work unless I go to the (tacky) trouble of posing the finished model on a mirror.

Hoping once I hit this with monotone primer, it will all seem worthwhile.
You guys may be the only people in the world who can appreciate the efforts for such easily missed details!

By no means meant as "realistic," just there for the sake of texture and general interest.

Aye Carumba, those wheel wells look awesome!

And yeah, no-one will ever see them, but I bet you had fun doing 'em :)

I feel so inadequate...  :(

You're a cruel man Baz, but a bloody good modeler!  ;)

Thanks, fellow Whiffers.
Here is the first stage of painting (easier to see the details now?).

Little dilemma here.  I was pretty sure I needed to further "clip" the wings to reduce their overall span.  Even as a nice, stable trainer, I thought the wings I modified from the 1:72 Ju-88 that Sisko sent me were too long.

Now that I look at the photo-edit of how I had planned to clip the wings, I'm not sure.  What do you guys think?

As is:

I like the unclipped version better.......

My vote is for the un-clipped version also. She looks great, Mr Howling Mouse! Your detail on those wheel wells is impressive beyond the abilities of my vocabulary!

I'll leave it unclipped then.
Time for paint!

Wow I'm honoured the king of scratchbuilding mentions my name, it's like Keith Richards or Slash hearing me play and saying "nice riff"
Baz those are amazing

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid
