Sigh..............no closer to completion. Hopefully I can work on it this weekend (ie, today and tomorrow), and I'll get progress pics up as it happens.



Probably going to be my second-to-last Airfix build for a while, as I'm beginning to get Modeller's Funk again.



I don't want to say a permanent goodbye to the hobby, but for a while we'll be seeing other people.

Too busy moving flat to get anything done. Once I get settled in my new place I'm going to be steaming right in, got everything ready but the workspace.
Do not despair for Johnny head-in-air,

My camera's stuffed, so I have a dilemma...

I usually try and take in-progress shots of my more ambitious projects, so's I can learn and adapt afterwards. If I wait for my camera to get fixed, if that's possible, then my build will be on hold for a while.
That's a Bad Thing.
I could spend more time on research, or tinkering with images of a Jetstream...

Alternatively, I could just get cracking and build anyway. I mean...what's the point of good photo's anyway? Do I really refer back to them, once done? Do others bother to view?
Is there any point in going on...

Go ahead and build, Merlin! In-progress shots are great, but lack of them is no reason to put a project on hold. Forge ahead, I say. :)

How far have I got?  I've thought about going over my buddy's to retrieve my Airfix kits.  We've got till June, right?   B)

Well, build no.1 has been binned. Unrecoverable paint disaster!!!! So, I'm about to restart on another one... :angry:  :angry:  :angry:  :angry:

Well as you all know by now, Build #1 is complete. Build #2, the Snell Aviation S19, awaits panel lines and markings. Build #3, Eagle GR.6 NZ8001, currently has a dryfitted fuselage, the nosegear bay is glued in but the fuse will go together for real tomorrow. Intake interiors are painted, just waiting for enough time to dedicate to the beastie.



Also may look for another build to enter, as I want something to do basically OOB and I want it now!

I think I've finally lost my mind.  This is what I retreived from the Stash today (save the prize clone I found over the weekend), and am intent on building each and every one of them for this contest.  I mean, I've got till June, right?

Comrade Anatoly if you succeed in building all those kits in time you should get a special prize for exceeding the Rodina's Five Year Plan! I think I'll be hard pressed to get my four entries done in time. Your productivity is a spur to those of us who live farther away from the Central Comittee of the Comintern.
