Captain Canada

I like the Goshawk idea as well, such a tough looking little bird. Would definatley be good for RCN, RAN, as well as the Kiwis. Especially in their cool green camo the A-4s wore !

Thanks for the comments guys.  This was a fun little build.  I have two more Italeri Hawks in the stash, a 100 and a T.1, but I may have to be keeping my eyes open on ebay for a few more.

If anyone has ever thought of using the silly putty masking method, I would recommend it.  Very easy to work into the shape you want and excellent masking on compound curves.
So I got that going for me...which is nice....

Roger wilco! Judging by that magnificent job, I'll have to give it a go!

I really enjoy your vision and delivery. Outstanding job! B)

Instead of another 'Winder on the wing tip to replace the LANTIRN pod, how about one of those twin Zuni pods that used to go on the Crusader's AIM-9 launchers?

I've just built a USAF gunship grey OA-19B Strike Hawk based on the Hawk 100(the F-19A being the single seater Hawk 200 with the APG-66 radar) for use as a night FAC/CAS during Desert Storm.

I've put the twin Zuni pod on one 'Winder rail and an AIM-9P on the other, with a LANTIRN targeting pod on the centreline, two external fuel tanks, a GBU-12 on one outer pylon and a pair of Hellfires on the other outer.

Sorry, no piccies - I don't have a digi camera.

The FireHawk's a nice job, that.

Comrade Harps
Whatever.

Congrats!
