We agreed that the winner of the SSGB would get a Group Build themed after them.  So, as Leigh is the deserving winner, he gets his own GB.

Now, what themes can we get from Leigh....

Anything pink

Sigourney Weaver

The Unabomber

Teletubbies

Twiglets (maybe a giant bag should be the winning prize?)

Matchbox

Digging trenches

British punk rock

And of course, Fairey Gannets :)

Feel free to add more themes to the list.

I like the idea of a "Leigh's 12 Shades of Blue/32 Shades of Gray" for a theme. Lots of possibilities there...

Brian da Basher

P.S. Or better yet, "Leigh's Blue, Gray & Black GB".

Leigh

Wot that's the best you can come up with?

I was thinking more in terms of

Sleek and Sexy looking

Incredibly potent

Full of Stamina and endurance

NOT CANADIAN

Never gets washed (my truck that is)

Bright

if I could pick summat it would probably be on the vein of crazy and bright colours.

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

OK, we add born in France to the list  :)

BTW, may I re-iterate, that in IMO it should be ALL of the things listed as potential subjects for the GB, like I said, gives us a real diverse range for which to come up with ideas.

Ok then guys, time I resurrected this one.  I promised the winner a GB, and a GB the winner is gunna get!

So, "The Unabomber and his Pink Gannents" Group Build

Start it around October time, when the current glut has finished?  6 month run-time?

What would be really cool would be another "Secret Santa Build" 'cept this time we could add a theme culled from all the other great ideas, someone sends you a kit and you have to whiff it into
Irish Army Air Corps

Racing Jet's

Whittle got it wrong

Coin Birds

Russian Copycats

other stuff bandied about was Aggressors, display teams, floatplanes

obviously if sending kits to other we couldn't do specific planes or summat like an Eddie build that would demand mounstrous kit bashing.
But I loved the last Secret Santa and was soooo excited awaiting my mystery kit I would love to see it become a tradition.

My vote's for the Whittle Got It Wrong GB. I love the idea of something like an Su-27 with a big prop tacked on the front!

Oh, and it's gotta have spats!

I love spats!

If we do another SSGB, I wouldn't want to do themed - part of the fun is seeing what crazy ideas someone else comes up with your kit.

In related news, I've been thinking of proposing another 1 week GB

Nice idea for the autumn Nev (Spring for our Antipodean and S African members  ) once the distractions of summer are out of the way

Do not condemn the judgement of another because it differs from your own. You may both be wrong.
