This panel pre-shading trick looks pretty cool ! I'll take a few pics later when the paint dries....and meanwhile, anybody got any JG 71 decals in 72nd scale ? I can't find mine.....bloody fool who packed a few dozen boxes and never marked a thing.......

Does pre-shading really show through? I worried about it when I did the Transall flying boat, thinking that in such a tiny scale it might be overwhelming.

So I pre-shaded with Tamiya clear varnish...

It does when you dig the offending paint out with the tip of a tooth pick !

Wow looking good Cap'n! It's a treat to watch you put this one together. I don't know JG 71 from VH-1, but I've got some spare W.W.II Luftwaffe decals if you need 'em.

I need the Richtofen 'R' symbol and JA codes. I think they started using them post-war, tho.
