Your nuts! That is a huge undertaking and it's gonna be extremely cool when done.
Why not buy an Airfix or Revell Lanc if you just need it as a donor a way cheaper way to go.
This one's a definite "must watch".

I invite all and any criticism, except about Eric The Dog, it's not his fault he's stupid

Mightily impressive undertaking, very best of luck with it.

How do you like the sound of 'Avro Vengeance'? or Avro Vanquish?

V for Viceral, Vantage, Victory (or Victorious); Keep it going Simon and good luck.

Guys, do you think we should give the man his thread back now ???? - we've hi-jacked it enough for the moment  ;)

I think I'm settling on Vendetta!

No progress as I'm in the UK on business this week. But I did come all over JMN at lunch time today and drive over to the Newark Air Museum to take some reference pictures of one of the few Blue Steels in captivity.

It's quite a cool museum, if in the middle of nowhere. They have few interesting Meteor and Canberra variants, a Hastings (it's effing enormous, sorry Zac, Airfix will never kit it), a Gannet (quite imposing in the metal) and tucked away at the back of a hangar the very F-4 simulator which I failed to master at Wattisham all those years ago!

This is the curse of speed;  I have been a slave to it all my life. On my gravestone they will carve 'It never got fast enough for me'.

I've finally got it all in one bit. What an ordeal!

There's some big holes to be filled here, I'm going to need 15kg of putty and 10m2 of 600 grit.Only a few jobs left now:

Fill massive holes with putty, evergreen
Drill hole and install dorsal turret
Puttysandrepeat, ad nauseum
Mask and fix canopies. Got the Eduard masks but it will still be a pain in the arse.
Fix canards
Adjust landing gear so all the wheels sit on the ground
Install flaps
Add Blue Steel
Primer
Puttysandrepeat, ad infinitum
Loads of Appliance White
Decals
Clear coat
Collapse in heap

Edit: forgot to add paint and install props and landing gear doors!
