Good grief, that beast is amazing. Bloody stunning.....
If you love, love without reservation; If you fight, fight without fear - THAT is the way of the warrior

If you go into battle knowing you will die, then you will live. If you go into battle hoping to live, then you will die

VERY GOOD.Which camo scheme will you use?

SimonR

It'll be all over anti-flash white with either 617 or 55 markings, probably 55.

I've just piled a ton of putty into the gaping wing/fuselage join. It's all very, very rough and it's going to take weeks to smooth it all out to an acceptable standard.

QuoteI think I'm settling on Vendetta!
Good move - if you'd stuck with Hartlepool you'd have had to nickname it 'The Monkeyhanger'

( for anyone who lives outside the North East of England you probably won't understand that  :P )
Murphy's 1st Law - An object at rest will be in the wrong place
Murphy's 2nd Law - An object in motion will be going in the wrong direction
Murphy's 3rd Law - For every action, there is an equal and opposite malfunction

All the construction is complete and it's ready for the first coat of primer.

Fitting those Eduard masks was very fiddly and repetitive, like working in a hummingbird artificial insemination laboratory. I decided not to add the dorsal turret as the Vendetta would have been in service in the 50s and I wanted a slightly more contemporary look with a dorsal 'hump' for ECM gear. The hump was made from a 1/48 Academy Flanker radome sawn in half and blended in with lots of smelly, red Testors putty.

Still alot more sanding and concomitant wankers' cramp in my sanding wrist ahead.

I've just realised that I've sawn off the section of the Tu-95 wings that had the ailerons. As the chief designer of the Vendetta I might just have to decide that authority in the roll axis is provided by asymmetric spoilers like the B-52.

See you at the roll out!

You need a crown, sir.  That is impressive as hell...wow doesn't even cover it...that is going to be way too cool.

An inspiration to us all.  B) That's for sharing your progress with us. :)

Look behind you!

IMPRESSIVE!!!! Looks great !!
changing a Lancaster in the canard configuration with Tu-95 stuff... fascinating!!!
King Arthur: Can we come up and have a look?
French Soldier: Of course not. You're English types.
King Arthur: What are you then?
French Soldier: I'm French. Why do you think I have this outrageous accent, you silly king?

Well regardless I would rather take my chance out there on the ocean, that to stay here and die on this poo-hole island spending the rest of my life talking to a gosh darn VOLLEYBALL.

:D Absolutely wicked!!

Uh, I discover lately this topic: I am a fool, as I thought "one more Lancaster, I don't like Lancasters". How stupid was I, I love your one very much, the most beautiful of all the Lancasters, and I feel sorry not to have dreamed of it myself...

May I ask a favour? When the model is finished, could you take a picture from rather great distance (6 yards?) with the model on a plain colour background? (I would be so happy to Photoshop a twin-Lanc derivative, completing the Wooksta's Warrior & Glenn's Grenville
