First kt I've finished in a long time

Matchbox Buffalo finished as an AVG version

Markings are from the Sky P40 sheet with the "Sharks" mouth from a Revell Hellcat.

Represent an aircraft flown by Lt Col CH Holder of 3 Sqd AVG

Co-incidently Martin H used the same marking son his Wildcat, didn't realise until they were side by side at Doncaster

The full backsory is being written for the Nwsletter but it involves crates mysteriously switching cargos on Rangoon docks and how 488 Sqd RNZAF came to fly P-40's

Not a bad little kit for it's age - apart from the canopy frame lines

Final one and note to self get some more lighting for photography.

Next finish will probably be my Polish Spit

Thats a nice model.

The funny things is you can almost get away with that one. Once the Allies were thrown out of Burma the Flying Tigers opperated from bases in India along side British Buffalos.

That's a sporty little job, isn't it?  Neat plane !

The Rat

BLOODYHELLTHATSGORGEOUS!

It's a short fat dumpy little airplane, but for some perverse reason I've always liked it, maybe out of pity. You've done a great one there Chris!

There's a whole topic about AVG considering Buffalos at http://www.tgplanes.com/Public/snitz/topic...sp?TOPIC_ID=913
Even serious enthusiasts are discussing about it, while building one in our what-if way is even better. Great!
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

BlackOps

Looks good! I didn't realize the buffalo was that small. I wonder how an A-10 would look in those markings ;)

Wow Chris that one is truly inspired! It's a natural follow on to the AVG Wildcat I saw in the Telford SIG pics. Very impressive Buffalo you've built there!
