Allthough I'd kinda favour the danish version, when it goes in to service, to get the same over-all olive drab scheme that the Draken had. Dunno why, but I always thought the Draken looked downright sexy in that sheme and I'll reckon the Gripen will too.

In the middle of the 90s RAF realize that with the end of the cold war and the threat of Soviet Bombers comig from the north the Tornado F.3 is useless and that the Typhoon is in delay, so with a big marketing effort by BAe the Gripens are acquired as a stopgap...............
