Put it to you this way: it made it to my hard-drive's archive of "really cool stuff I wish I had thought of."

The colour work is very original and pleasant, congratulations! Moreover, I love your idea of putting the model on a mirror to admire the underside (and it's giving me ideas for my Mustangs collection)...
[the word "realistic" hurts my heart...]

Someday, I'll even finish a model ...

thanx alot everyone :D glad you like it. tophe, i could say it was my idea of the mirror as a base, but truth be told, i seen a few people do this on hyperscale with the a-10, since it had loads of weapons underneath. :P

Well I like that scheme and it's saner then some of the experimental ones that were tried out on it

As for just changing a scheme on the model, that's what most of my WIFs are still.

i did research on this plane, to find out all the info on it, but online the info is scarce. i found no pics of the real plane just models. so does anyone have any more info than i could find? all i got was...

this a-10 was stationed in barksdale air force base in 1991 as part of the 917th tactical figther wing. it was only an experimental scheme and never saw service

thanx, paul  :tornado:

Out of all the experimental A-10 schemes i've seen, this has got to be my favorite. But hell, they way you do paint jobs, you could do Jaws II(the one with the uh, colorful polka dots) and still make it look good.

Somewhere I have an old (read very old) Squadron book on he A10 which has all these trialls schemes in it, including the Jaws II etc. I will try and find it but don't hold your breath,
