21 April 2019- Jakarta

The Eastern Caliphate today called on the US, Australia, and New Zealand to withdraw their forces from the region, warning that "should they fail to do so, we will have no choice but to defend ourselves as true believers."

24 April 2019- Off the Australian Coast

An Australian F-35 fighter crashed in the Timor Sea, 90 miles off the coast of Australia. The fighter was on night patrol and apparently suffered from engine failure. The pilot was rescued and remains in good condition at the RAAF base in Tindall.

David,

Beautiful work and great ongoing backstory.  One question - What's the background (backstrory wise) of this particular aircraft?  I ask since that looks suspiciously like a 75SQN (RAAF) Marking on the tail.  I present as evidence:

This is from the Gekko A-4K decal sheet instructions. The aircraft with these markings--a RNZAF 75 Squadron A-4--was "zapped" by the RAAF 75 Squadron during the 1984 Pitch Black exercise.

I stuck these markings on because this aircraft- the lead F-2 deployed--is part of the New Zealand component of the Coalition air force protecting Northern Australia. It's a nice homage to RAAF-RNZAF cooperation and the 1984 zapping.

29 April 2019, 2130 local time- Canberra

A series of explosions ripped through the evening rush hour in downtown Canberra and Sydney today. At least 300 are dead in a series of car bomb and suicide attacks. The attacks appear to have targeted government officials.

30 April 2019, 0900 local time- Northern Australia

Australia is reeling from a series of late night attacks by the Caliphate on Coalition bases in northern Australia and Papau New Guinea. A massive cruise missile attack severely damaged the RAAF bases at Tindall, Darwin, Curtin, and Scherger and Caliphate troops are reportedly pouring across the border with Papau New Guinea. Australian officials describe the losses from last night's attacks as "significant."

American officials are refusing to comment on reports that the aircraft carrier Nimitz was severely damaged during the attack  but unnamed senior Pentagon sources claim that at least four US ships came under attack last night. The officials refused to identify which vessels were hit or how much damage the ships had taken. According to local press reports, a large number of American F-35 and F-18 aircraft landed at airfields on the western coast of Australia, suggesting that an American aircraft carrier may have been one of the damaged vessels.

Superb build David. The F2 looks stunning in that colour scheme, and the ongoing back story is awsome. Long may it continue.

2 May 2019—Canberra

Fighting continues in New Guinea and Commonwealth officials, speaking on the condition of anonymity, have warned that, unless Coalition Forces can gain air superiority over the island, the situation will be lost.

A second wave of cruise missiles struck northern Australia this afternoon. Government officials are not commenting on damage but have said that "all assets have been moved to safer locations."

3 May 2019—Jakarta/Canberra

Bombs struck Jakarta tonight, apparently the first response by Commonwealth forces to the Caliphate's attack on Northern Australia. The Ministry of Jihad building was flattened in a pre-dawn raid, reportedly carried out by US transorbital bombers operating from the continental United States. Caliphate television and radio are off the air.

Australian officials are refusing to comment on reports that commonwealth aircraft have been redeployed to makeshift airbases after the initial wave of missile attacks on air bases in the north.

The Pentagon today confirmed that the USS Nimitz was severely damaged in a surprise air raid on the first night of the war. According to unnamed sources, the aircraft carrier and most of its battle group have been withdrawn to the relative safety of the southern Australian coast for repairs.

David that's one gorgeous bird there, and that fantastic camo paintjob and Kiwi roundels add just the right amount of oomph to make this one a real head-turner!

There aren't enough Kiwi roundels out there if you ask me.

What a wonderful build!
