Anigrand Mirage G-8 is out and it looks very nice, working VG wings in resin, optional nose and Tail fins.

A 1/72 scale Viccie Ten? That's a LOT of resin, the postage will be heavy too! But SO desirable......

Magna do the VC-10 C1K variant, but you just know the anigrand one will be a more refined kit than the Magna one and pricing comes in about the same ($148- £96) less postage.

If I've read my info right, the VC-10 K2 is a converted Standard VC-10 I think, should have straight leading edges to the wings    The C1K was a converted RAF VC-10 which had Standard VC-10 fuselage but Super VC-10 wings.  The Airways Vac Form kit I have does a C1 or a C1K too, right out of the box.

Whole BOOKS have been written on the various types of VC10 that the RAF currently fly. No matter what mix and match of wings, engines, fuselages and tails you chose, 101 Sqdn are sure to be flying at least one like that.  ;D

I totally am a fan of Arnold.  Not only is he sending me a part that was missing from a recent purchase, but he allowed me to buy a 1/144 "extra" kit from one of his 1/144 selection.

About time too, since the demise of the Otaki kit the world has been waiting for a 1/144 C5.

    I wonder if that's a typo. Arnold's announced a 1/72 C-5 for November, IIRC.

There could be two kits, in 1/72 & 1/144, as crazy as it sounds?   I agree, the original rumour had been for a 1/72 - I have no information either way on the 1/72.

The 1/144 C-5A is plausible of on a number of points and considering the context of the images:

  1) the photos on the KG144 blog are taken at a 1/144 only show in Tokyo, one of a number 1/144 events held throughout the year at various locations.

  2) Anigrand have a special relationship with the loose federation of model builders and garage kit producers who go under the wider umbrella/banner of Project 144.

  3) Anigrand has produced  a) limited show only editions for sale at various events in Japan, and b) also selling the bonus items independently of the large kit bundles (see to the right of the C-5A) something Arnold only does for Japan, despite many requests from the rest of us!

  4) Compare the dimensions of the C-5A against the 1/144 King Tiger,Panthers and Tiger I in the lower left hand side of the image...

  5) The kit is meant to be available for purchase at the 12th Project144 show later this year, this would not be the first arrangement of its kind.

  6) The text on the blogs and feedback from Japan indicate is that this is the case....

It builds a very strong case for it being a  1/144. C-5A

A couple of side notes....... is the angle of the wings ok?
surely this best had some metal undercarriage?

The Blinder has it's own page up and the extra kits seem to be a MiG9, Tu28 Fiddler(!)and a Mil Mi1. As always if anyone can ID the silhouettes better have at it!

Hadn't noticed that there are parts for either the single or two-seat aircraft. Seriously tempted to get one (no money though!).
