As much as I am of the same state of mind, please try to keep this discussion politics free.  It's hard, I know, but I WILL lock this frakker down if the rhetoric goes on, even if I agree with it.  This site is supposed to be politics and rhetoric neutral.

Please keep that in mind when posting.

One way to scratch build a 1/48 Su-34:

Part 1
Part 2

Mind you, I still can't believe no one has brought out a conversion kit at least!

Regards,

Greg

Wow! I could use a conversion kit  :banghead: :banghead: License to print money for anyone who can get one done

I'm afraid such a conversion kit would be fantastically expensive. New forward fuselage (up to the MLG bays), cockpit, canopy, spine, tail stinger, redesigned intakes and redesigned landing gear. That's a LOT of resin!  :o
Cheers,
Moritz

Must, then, my projects bend to the iron yoke of a mechanical system? Is my soaring spirit to be chained down to the snail's pace of matter?

GTX

True, but in lieu of a full kit...

Regards,

Greg

I strongly suspect it would sell pretty well regardless of price!

I think so too... Some conversion sets are a small fortune and they still sell out in days

Does anyone know something about this study?

Looks to be artistic speculation.  Have you searched FlightGlobal where the image originates?

Well he might be a fool on most accounts, but he does do a nice PLA-N Su-34:

Greg

I am very very surprised that the PLAAF have not utilised this powerful and effective variant of the Flanker

BUMP:

i found this picture on Facebook of a Malaysian SU-30MKM, but this aircraft is armed with an AIM-120  :o
looking at this picture, how hard (or how costly if viable) would it be to modify an SU-30/35 to NATO/Western standards?

-all kinds of things.

Not particularly hard I'd think.
Elbit (Israel) modified a load of MiG-21s to LanceR standard for Romania 1 and these have the capability to carry (and use) any ex-Soviet and Western weapons that they're capable of actually lifting AFAIK.

1 In fact the upgrade was so extensive that a couple of years later Russia proposed a programme to bring MiG-29s(!) up the same avionics standard. (Whether they carried it out I don't know).
What if... I had a brain?

Sauragnmon

As Mr. Creak mentioned, the Russians were offering a version of the MiG-35 with the capability to operate western weapons systems, so I would imagine the 27MKM might well have come with that feature installed.
